A Letter From Our Founder.

Dear friends,

My name is Dr. Leonard Vesk, and I founded The Madlid Company after realizing there was still no reliable way to transport a large number of babies at once. The lids available were, quite simply, ugly.

I noticed this in 2021, during what should have been a routine gathering. Dozens of babies had been placed together, but the coverings were improvised — warped plastic, dented trays, sheets pulled too loosely. Glass shattered, rubber buckled, plastics yellowed and thin. It was disorderly, graceless. I left that day unsettled, convinced the problem was not quantity, but presentation.

The Madlid was my answer. Smoked polymer. Polished steel. Tempered glass. A surface exact in its geometry, designed to carry many babies without drift, without spill, without the crude misalignments of earlier lids.

Recently, a claim has been filed against us — an attempt to assert ownership over lid alignment. The notion that placement itself could be patented, that the angle of a hand or the balance of a rim might be withheld from the world, is appalling. To deny alignment is to invite collapse. Babies will be lost in great numbers.

For this reason, The Madlid Company will not retreat. Lids will continue to work as they must, and babies will be carried as they must. Our task is to ensure they are carried beautifully.
